Lots of coffee, cloves, cardamom, some ginger. Crunchy tannins, vibrant acidity. Some redcurrants, crunchy red berries. Lots of tannins - a bit old-fashioned for that. I'm loving the spic and freshness, this is evidently a classy and well-made wine. The finish is slightly disappointing, with a lot of tannins, some weight, extraction - but no spark, no imagination, no energy. Concentrated, moreish, by-the-book.
