Salmon pink, very pale shell. Very restrained aromas with a hint of reduction, some Syrah spice and a touch of blue fruit. Lovely weight and concentration of slightly saline ripe strawberries and some rich dark fruit. A hint of leesy toasty notes, long fine, slightly pithy acidity and long dark minerality. Structured, mineral, saline, slightly foursquare and blunt structure. It has nice depth and a hint more complexity than typical of many similar rosés. Balanced, concentrated and rather lovely, though the finish is a bit blunt; it is intense but lacks that extra step of charm, pizzazz, or perhaps a slightly lengthier finish. Maybe better with food - a little too dark and structured for easy drinking, but definitely a step up in terms of intensity.
