    Semi-translucent ruby. Slightly reductive Syrah or Cinsault leatheriness despite the pale colour. Sour cherries. Lots of fresh and fruity strawberry fruit. Remarkable minerality on the palate, vibrant and fresh. Wonderfully refreshing, despite a very serious no-nonsense backbone from that subtle leather and reduction. Slightly hard on the finish with tight dark acidity and very firm tannins. Needs food to cut through that rather severe structure. Beginnings of complexity, but ultimately mismatched and a little rough around the edges.
