Clos de Caille Clos de Caille (Red) 2024 - OutstandingIntense opaque ruby. Scented, almost perfumed aromas of soft opulent floral red fruit and violets. Beautifully perfumed on the palate with blue flowers and fine minerality, it is really rather stunning. Despite the colour and the opulence on the nose, this has remarkable fresh acidity and elegance balancing deep, intense ripe blue-black fruit and well-balanced, silky tannins. It is vibrant, alive, and energetic with lovely crunchy, chalky tannins. Some slightly jammy raspberries jostle for attention with pippy tannins. A lovely balance of fruit and texture, genuinely juicy and exciting, absolutely bursting with fresh crunchy red berry fruit. I'd happily recommend a glass of this in a modern Provencal restaurant. Note: Requires weightlifting to pour the bottle!
