  Dark, opaque with purple edges. Dark, intense, forest floor, mossy and mysterious on the nose. Some hedgerow fruit, plums and crab apples. Blue black velvet fruit. On the palate softly rich and supple. Has a ruggedness to it despite a silky smooth-talking structure. Silky tannins, quite a lot of ripe, intense, slightly haughty tannins behind the supple fruit, and some ripe alcohol. Mouth-coating, full-bodied, just enough acidity. Smooth-talking, refined and polished, but lacking in generosity and complexity.
