  Semi-translucent garnet. Inky dark fruit, pot pourri, leather. Beautiful silky black fruit and velvet tannins on the palate. Oak providing subtle sweetness, perfectly balanced with well-extracted fruit-driven tannins. Black and inky, exceptionally powerful, and with absolutely masterful balance and poise. Powerful and solar, expressive and vibrant. Fruit-driven but not afraid of tertiary complexity. Opens up on the finish to sweet spice: nutmeg, a hint of cloves, some black pepper, all bound together by pippy tannins and juicy red berry acidity. Lengthy, slightly inky drying finish. Utterly charming, and a great example of modern Provence red that is really embracing the Cote d'Azur in winter.
