Domaines Ott Étoile (Rosé) 2023 - OutstandingCreamy white with hints of copper pink; almost blanc de noir. Soft ripe orchard fruit aromas of peach, yellow peaches, red apples, and the tiniest whisper of pomelo. Soft, ripe, creamy, and silky with a firm, generous texture and a structural finish. Beautifully balanced, there is discrete Mourvèdre structure giving backbone, some saline schistous freshness, and hints of inky struck match. It ticks every single box, harmoniously brought together with incredible elegance. Stretches from drinking on a summer’s day to concentration enough for a gastronomic partnership. Aiming to be a more complete, concentrated, refined form of classic rosé more than a white Burgundy-inspired.
