  Mid depth, with age revealed by its brickish rim followed by mature aromatics of honey, herb tea and a little pot pourri. Soft ripe, honeyed fruit on the palate, showing lovely juicy mellowness. Restrained fruit with a floral charm providing the aromatic heavy lifting. Tannins are supple, well-rounded but still quite chalky. Floral acidity. Old-fashioned and slightly drying, showing its age, if a touch short on the finish. A wine to serve at a dinner with other aged reds.
