Mahogany red, semi-opaque garnet. Soft sweet oaky ripeness on the nose. Lush, sweet ripeness with a more international, fruit-forward cassis and blackberry style, alongside lots of deep, dark blue fruit. The rich, dark, ripe and slightly opaque black Mourvèdre fruit continues on the palate, with ripe tannins, very full-bodied depth and a subtle nod to Parker in terms of ripeness. Tannins are velvety and exceptionally well-integrated, though still firm and drying. Fresh pithy acidity, a touch of black pepper and lots of blackcurrants. More of a ripe, fruit-forward style that is exceptionally ripe, generous and very drinkable, not really showing its age other than in colour. Solar, charming, but somewhat international.
