Domaine des Alpilles Le Rouge (Red) 2024 - OutstandingSemi-translucent ruby red. Highly perfumed on the nose, like walking into a fruit shop bursting with floral perfume, leafy floral garrigue, spice, cedars, and roses -typical of Cinsault and reminiscent of Brachetto. Wild fennel and apple blossom follow. The palate features pretty red strawberry fruit, a hint of spritz hiding minerality, and remarkably vibrant, silky tannins. High acidity keeps it fresh, simple, delicate, intense, and electric. For lovers of a light summer red with fruit, perfume, elegance, and balance, look no further! Not a blockbuster, but this is a great summer red. If you want Cinsault red, this is it.
