Quinta do Sobreiró de Cima Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé Reserva Reserva (Rosé) 2020 - ExceptionalDark copper pink. Hints of garrigue, savoury notes, and beautifully silky, refined fruit on the nose. Elegant, ripe, charmingly fruity, and not excessive. The palate is juicy, rich, and vibrant, showcasing sour cherry, dried apricots, ripe blackberries, hedgerow fruit, and pink cherries. Some aged secondary notes mingle with hints of smoky oaky tannin (3 months in a mix of French and American oak barriques) and roasting chestnuts. Behind the sweet mellow dried fruit, there is a piercing lime juice energy and long vibrant acidity that just carries the wine. Pristine, crystalline, and exceptionally fruit-driven. The fruit is ripe, balanced, orchardy, and lightly tropical. Rarely does one come across such a powerful wine; everything it does, it does properly. The acidity is vibrant and punchy, but disciplined, with structure there to support the fruit rather than dominate it with tannins. Stunning and delicious.
