  Copper pink. Savoury honeyed notes on the nose with a hint of curry, roasted nuts, and slightly nutty orange citrus fruit. The palate offers so much rich ripe fruit, appearing almost sweet and ripe with some sour red cherry crispness. Beautifully silky, with vibrant blood orange acidity and a slightly black slatey minerality. A tiny hint of smoky sweetness on the finish, presumably from oak. Lovely depth, clearly reaching to some wild fennel and slightly reddish spice towards the finish, offering lovely complexity. The fruit leans very ripe and almost sweet, presenting a slight danger that it could go flabby over time as the acidity is charming but not particularly high. Citrussy without freshness for the sake of freshness, and spiced without feeling heavy. Beautiful herbal notes at the very finish. What a charmer. Very clearly a cut above, beautifully well integrated, and classy.
