Capanna Brunello di Montalcino (Red)

Pretty black fruit, hints of black cherries, lightly leafy blue flowers. Elegant whispers of some herbal fennelseed, garrigue, olive wood. Opening up to lots of bruised cherries and some cooked raspberries. On the palate, finding this a little chewy and cooked, over-extacted and seriously lacking elegance. A smoker's Brunello in a style I don't personally love, even if the fruitiness of the vintage really seems to be working its magic.
