Château La Mascaronne Côtes de Provence (Red) 2022 - Highly RecommendedMid to deep purple red. Cedar and dark bruised plums on the nose, alongside dark, concentrated, opulent hedgerow fruit, blackberries and sour cherries. On the palate, firm mineral pith acidity and rich dark bitter chocolate give a ripe mid-palate. Dark, inky, spiced and a little taciturn. Firm, grippy, chalky tannins wrapped in velvety fruit. Still quite closed and youthful, but very elegant, showing a pretty floral tropical charm on the finish. Very classy and an absolute benchmark of red Provence.
