Famille Sumeire Château Coussin César à Sumeire (White) 2023 - Highly RecommendedWater white pale lemon to very pale lime yellow. Leafy on the nose with a hint of lavender minerality, flinty waxy lime drops, and a subtle hint of kerosene. Very fresh and beautifully elegant on the palate, showing zippy limestone acidity and a slightly sandy, lacy, ethereal mid-palate. Clean and pretty with a nice concentration of fruit and perfume, though leaning a little neutral. The finish has a subtle waxiness and honeyed salinity that hints at potential in the future. Can imagine this by the bottle in a top-notch restaurant trying to reinvent the classic bistro.
