Ripe red fruit, ripe hedgerow fruit, quite a bit of extracted blue fruit as well. Lovely intensity, with again those extracted but velvety tannins. Hints of pencil shavings, lots of florals and pretty wildflower meadow freshness. A hint of menthol. Fantastic complexity, with incredible elegance despite the concentration and power. Wow this is good wine. On the finish, the tannins are long-lasting, lightly sandy, incredibly rich and delicate. A masterclass in modernising an almost over-extracted Sangiovese.
