Surprisingly restrained on the nose. Some red fruit. Quite mineral, one-dimensional. Quite a bit of alcohol softening otherwise very extacted, very chalky tannins. A bit dried out on the finish, but otherwise very pretty, characterful, almost caricatural Brunello. Nice enough wine.

Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
