  Surprisingly restrained on the nose. Some red fruit. Quite mineral, one-dimensional. Quite a bit of alcohol softening otherwise very extacted, very chalky tannins. A bit dried out on the finish, but otherwise very pretty, characterful, almost caricatural Brunello. Nice enough wine.
