Lots of rich red fruit, a hint of sweet oak, plenty of torrefaction and coffee. On the palate, this is wonderfully rich and complex - but also borderline over-extracted. There's tons of fruit, lovely acidity, just a hint of oak and some lovely complexity. Pretty wine, really well made - but just so many tannins that even the concentration and fruit make this just a bit too much. It's powerful, balanced, but...
