Pale lemon to pale lime. Some crushed green apples on the nose with a hint of citrus. Opens up to some apple blossom, a touch of sweet almond, really rather pretty fruit and lovely ripe La Londe richness. Hints of pineapple and a touch of white melon. On the palate, this is most certainly fruit-driven, with full mature ripe fruit, textured, slightly chalky, citrusy acidity backing up the finish with texture, charm and seriousness. Very fine, elegant acidity, beautifully balancing the. ripeness with freshness. As it breathes, the fruit really takes over. Intense, moreish, ripe and extracted but without too much texture or phenolic grip. Weighty without being heavy, lifted by just a whisper of salinity on the finish. Ripe, solar and a wine which should age well. Seriously classy.
