Costaripa Molmenti (Rosé) 2021 - OutstandingPale peach pink. Aromas of dried fruit, sweet almonds, walnuts, pretty black fruit, and hints of spice. Concentrated, warm, and silky on the palate with fresh acidity and ripe fruit. Notes of almond blossom, honey, and silky beeswax tannins provide a slightly sandy texture. An arsenic and old lace sort of wine, evoking gentle sunshine, ticking clocks, tea cakes, and cedar. It is the wine of another era, evocative, serious, and a conversation starter. Lots of pretty perfumed oranges on the finish, but with a slightly subdued marmalade richness to them. Not modern, not technical, but very beautiful. Not for glugging down but for appreciation.
