    Perelada-Chivite Chivite Colección 125 (Rosé) 2023 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Dark copper pink, bright coral - shimmers in the glass very, very beautifully. Strawberry and cream aromas carry on with some intensity on the palate, alongside a little restrained concentration at first. Exceptional power with red cherries, extremely bitter almonds and marzipan, a hint of oak and slightly jammy raspberries. Some delicate oak tannins ground the soft fruitiness, fresh acidity and strawberries and cream, maybe drying the finish a little. Closed and youthful. Serious, classy and utterly no-nonsense. An absolute stunner. Needs decanting, or come back in 5 to 10 years.

We’re mother and son duo Elizabeth Gabay MW and Ben Bernheim. Between us, we’ve been involved in the wines of southern France for over 30 years. Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
