    Bastiàn Petra’s (Rosé) 2024 - Highly RecommendedTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    From the white limestone hills of Buje in northern Istria, this young producer has already caught the attention of lovers of fine rosé. This is their premium cuvée, inspired by the winemaking of Château d'Esclans, with fermentation and 8 months ageing in 500l new barrels. Harvested for freshness, the very-non-Provençal Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot succeed in creating a charming rosé. Pale golden pink, the oak is very well integrated with the soft, ripe fruit and the crunchy red berry acidity and long mineral freshness.

About us

We’re mother and son duo Elizabeth Gabay MW and Ben Bernheim. Between us, we’ve been involved in the wines of southern France for over 30 years. Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
