    Bodega Dehesa de los Canonigos Luzianilla Clarete de Guarda (Rosé) 2022 - Highly RecommendedTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Dark copper pink. Creamy, leesy, lightly oaky notes on the nose with a touch of red fruit. Slightly smoky oak continues on the palate, with some precise crisp, slatey mineral structure. There is a punchy finish - concentrated, classy and driven with a hint of white stone fruit. There is a firm boldness in structure, but the fruit remains restrained. on the finish and possible more of a white wine - the presence of old vine Albillo in the blend certainly makes its presence felt - than a modern rosé - but still rather lovely. This is only the second vintage and a hommage to the traditional styles of Cigales.
