    Bodegas Moraza Moraza Rosé (Rosé) 2024 - Highly RecommendedTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Light red coral pink. Quite opulent, winey red fruit on the nose, spice, ripe raspberries, hints of leather and some black hedgerow fruit. Softly generous and ripe on the palate, so much ripe fruit that there is a charming rich sweetness. On the palate rose hip syrup, cherry compote and cherryade, bursting with bright fruit, a light spritz and gentle, soft tannins with balanced acidity. A touch of alcohol and a real sense of down-to-earth honesty on the finish - spontaneous fermentation, biodynamic viticulture, and no-nonsense winemaking. Not a grand fine wine, but sits between serious, gutsy and complex on one side, and generously fruity and crowd-pleasing on the other. Incredibly enjoyable, confident and rather yummy. The sort of rosé we ourselves like to drink at home!

We’re mother and son duo Elizabeth Gabay MW and Ben Bernheim. Between us, we’ve been involved in the wines of southern France for over 30 years. Elizabeth started working with the wines of Provence back in 1986, and for the past 20 years has lived on the eastern edge of south-east France.
