    Bodegas Territorio Luthier Clarete de Guarda (Rosé) 2022 - ExceptionalTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    From a relatively young estate comes this old traditional style clarete made with local varieties from almost centenarian old vines. Moderate pale cherry. Quite a bit of oak on the nose, from nearly two years in American oak. On the palate, intensely ripe red fruit, embracing the ripeness (and the alcohol). This is a wine with powerful structure, supporting tannins and intense acidity that really cuts through to the finish. The fact that this went through malolactic fermentation is barely noticeable other than in contributing to the beautiful balanced structure, concentrated smooth and silky red fruit and classy finish.
