Champagne Gallimard Rosé des Riceys (Rosé) 2022 - Highly RecommendedPale garnet with dark brick edges. Aromas of dark berry fruit. On the palate incredibly concentrated blue-black fruit, wild hedgerow berries, sloes, damsons and plums. Saline, structural, grippy acidity. Barely evident firm, serious, textural tannins adding structure. Light, elegant and refreshing, but the firm tannins point this more in the direction of a light red wine than a rosé in character. A refined and elegant wine - the fine structure could even carry greater opulence and still be beautiful. Lovely.
