    Champagne Pascal Walzcak Les Chanzeux (Rosé) 2022 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Semi-translucent garnet pink. Initially closed on the nose with delicate notes of redcurrants. On the palate there is a lovely freshness: fresh cherries, zingy redcurrants, amazing acidity. Smokey, salted almonds and a whisper of nattiness. Dark purple minerality giving wonderful depth and complexity. Despite the colour, this is less of a red wine than might be expected: fresh, exciting, electric, energetic and complex.
