Château Bellini Coteaux Varois en Provence (Red) 2022 - OutstandingDark ruby. Lovely Syrah typicity on the nose, with joss sticks, intense spice and decadent dark fruit, showing hedgerow damsons, sloes and a hint of rosehips. Incredibly powerful Syrah on the palate. Beautifully extracted, with fruit squeezed in as tight as it will go, alongside lots of alcohol and ripeness. A little austere and youthful, but the powerful blue tannins are wonderfully ripe. Fine minerality, freshness and long length make it a good representation of the variety. Silky, extravagant and smooth-talking. It could maybe do with a touch more immediate charm, but this is likely youthful gawkiness. Intense, concentrated and genuinely decadent. A wine to look out for, making you feel like you are tasting the sunshine and authenticity of Provence.
