Domaine Maby Libiamo (Rosé) 2024 - OutstandingAn exceptionally exciting 50/50 Grenache Blanc and Grenache Noir blend, Libiamo is always one of our favourites. Mid depth copper pink. Subtle nutty oak aromas that evoke autumn sunshine. If there was ever a wine for garden lunches, to be drunk with richer summer meals for those who do not usually drink rosé, this wine is it. On the palate, spectacularly silky texture and beautifully integrated ripe hedgerow fruit, set against a backdrop of slightly inky mineral, firm tannins. Pithy, very vibrant acidity gives it a fine elegance and crisp textural freshness. Fruit is powerful, linear but fabulously ripe and confident. The firm tannins suggest it is still youthful with many years ahead for ageing. A concentrated, classy, driven fine wine. One of the few Tavels to proudly use exclusively new oak, to fabulous results.
