    Ktima Spiropoulos Limna Vineyard (Rosé) 2021 - Highly RecommendedTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

    Mature copper pink with sweet oak, pipe tobacco and generous spice with hints of cream and sweet mellow oak aromatics. Sweet, oxidative, unapologetically rich, with marmalade, dried apricots, earl grey and a whisper of black tea. Lovely acidity on the palate, with pretty crisp red berries, old cream lace, pot pourri and ripe quince. Aniseed and a saline herbal sharpness with quite generous alcohol on the finish. Exciting and powerful, with an old world restrained class. Would have liked a touch more fullness and red fruit, but this is not a pool wine; it's a whole other category, full of autumn sunlight and complexity.
