Los Otros de Ondarre El Terco (Rosé) 2021 - OutstandingThis old vine Carignan (Mazuelo) is extraordinary. The variety's natural acidity carries 30 months in barrel, the intensity of fruit shines through. A distinctive pale coral-orange amber colour hints at its age. Big, bold oakiness on the nose, decadent, rich, spiced and unapologetic. Slightly oxidative, burnt orange notes suggest age. Any fears that this wine is old, evaporate on the palate. This wine is intensely vibrant. Its mineral, precise acidity and citrus freshness counter-balances the richness, and beautifully velvety tannins, and perfumed. Powerful but delicate, managing to cram fruit, freshness, smokiness and texture into a really well-balanced, juicy and mouth-watering wine.
