Intense copper pink with light cherry red reflections. The aromatics are notably evolved and savoury, showing a saline, umami-like character with long oaky fruit and dark herbal woodiness. On the palate, pretty oak is supported by firm, sweet vanilla charm, spice and a hint of floral notes. The fruit profile consists of concentrated dark sour cherries, salty plums and rosehips, all defined by an exceptionally vibrant and taut cranberry acidity. This is a concentrated, tangy and complex Clarete style that carries enough weight and structure to serve as a summer red. While it is not a wine to bring fine rosé to the masses, it is a fabulous, serious wine.
