Moschofilero is easily one of our favourite rosé varieties - and this sort of wine shows just why. Pale pink coral. Pretty perfumed and floral notes, with some grapey Muscat notes. On the palate it is rather opulent and generous with fresh crab apple, sour red currants and delightful Moschofilero fruit. Powerful, with real grip and muscular, unrelenting acidity, and generous alcohol that really packs a punch. Don't let the pretty flowers and pink fool you, this is gutsy, serious and unapologetic, with potential to mellow after a few months or years. Dry Muscat rosé is a hard style to achieve, but this has fruit, charm and happiness, even with this level of powerful seriousness.
