Proelio La Cuvée Reserva de Finca la Esperilla (Rosé) 2023 - ExceptionalBright copper coral pink. Elegant, restrained aromas, winter jasmine and a whisper of rosewater, with fresh raspberries and dark cherries. Intense sour cherries, wild hedgerow fruit and fraise de bois follow on the palate, an abundance of juicy fruit, yet not a fruit forward wine, balanced by firm, long vibrant acidity. The mid-palate is where the party starts: this wine screams texture, concentration and structure. Well-integrated tannins, powerful but beautifully balanced alcohol and weight of fruit, with firm, almost invisible oak giving depth. Whispered tannins lend length and rigour. A rosé for red wine drinkers, joyous and serious, sublime beyond simply being fruity.
