Very pale coral pink. Slight oak on the nose with delicate crushed cherries, raspberries, sour cherry water ice, and very serious tropical yellow flowers. A hint of smokiness and generous oak. Beautiful on the nose. Silky and pretty on the palate with nice delicate structure, fresh acidity, blue fruit, and mineral notes. The mid-palate chooses freshness and a glassy elegance over weight and ripeness, leaving the oak struggling slightly to cover the gap. While the pretty tropical floral notes do not quite translate into ripe fruitiness, the oak gives sweet richness, juicy cherry jamminess, and mouthwatering acidity. It is wonderfully juicy, fresh, and elegant, with layers of complexity and depth. Hints of white pepper, beeswax, and smoked salt. Classy, refreshing, and complex with lovely intensity of fruit, weight, and structure.
