  Ruby. Pretty leather, some spice. Softly supple red berry fruit, fresh acidity, very firm tannins. Slightly velvety cooked fruit. Very easy-drinking, smooth, velvety, but with very firm, slightly chewy tannins. Very ripe fruit, trying to be both modern and fruity and traditional hefty structure with alcohol evident. A very new-world wine with a gentle softness. Slightly crunchy towards the finish. Pretty black fruit for a cold winter day.
