Château Canadel Altum (Red) 2023 - ExceptionalMid depth inky purple. Spice, plums and blue florals on the nose, alongside smoky black fruit, dark spice and black brambly hedgerow fruit. Rich blue-black velvet textured tannins on the palate. Warm, ripe, solar, muscular and powerful. Textured, mouth-edgy roughness with firm, confident and very classy inky ripe tannins, balanced by smooth, long, vibrant blue mineral acidity. Full-bodied without being jammy, dark and moody, and certainly not over-extracted. Very modern, showing wonderful concentration, extreme typicity, power, confidence and class, with a splash of salty waves crashing down on the finish. Mouthwatering and lovely.
