Château de Mille Luberon (White)

Pale white to pale lemon yellow. A hint of struck match and oak on the nose. Nice use of oak giving some sweet salinity, nutty fruit, white pears, florals, pretty white peach and raw nuts. Pretty yellow citrus jostles with yellow peaches, a hint of yellow tropical flowers, slightly cooked marmaladey oranges and a hint of honeysuckle on the palate. Firm minerality and lots of vibrant acidity. Supple, concentrated and rather classy. Just a little soft on the finish with slightly creamy notes where I am looking for either crispness or richness, and instead finding neither. Pleasant enough premium southern white, perhaps taking more from the Rhone playbook than Provence, but doing a decent job of it.
