Château de Mille Saint Lucide (White) 2024 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

Very pale lemon yellow. Perfumed white floral notes and struck match with a hint of oak and dripping with rich, crunchy, juicy citrus: blood orange, bergamot and Sorrento lemons. Perfumed Clairette really showing on the nose, leading to the structure of the almost centenarian Ugni Blanc on the palate - vibrant acidity, disciplined by structured oak, nutty concentration and exceptionally silky, structural weight. Ripe honeyed fruit and mouthwatering salted white peach create fine complexity with a crisp, slightly chalky texture. Long salinity and a hint of garrigue on the finish. Wonderfully classy, with a beautiful concentration of southern sunshine and windswept limestone cliffs.
