Pale lemon. New oak evident on the nose, lifted by very pretty white flowers, tropical fruit and a remarkable eagerness. Creamy, fresh pears and bitter lemon fruit on the palate, alongside lots of pretty citrus, satsumas, green apples and a hint of pithy gooseberries. There is a lovely phenolic charm with salty acidity and a hint of chalky texture. Light, elegant, floral and beautiful given the weight and seriousness of the oak (opinion divided over the amount of oak). Will please those looking for elegant, saline whites just as much as those looking for something a bit more serious and conversation-starting.
