Mid depth, moderate garnet red. Juicy red berry fruit with almost ripe jamminess coming through on the nose, alongside pretty Syrah notes of leather, chocolate, eucalyptus and torrefaction. On the palate, generous black fruit progresses to red berries, with hints of violets, cacao and gently floral roasting coffee. Beautifully extracted, providing serious weight and gutsiness. Textured black velvet tannins and savoury saline notes are present; the texture is slightly dominating and drying, but it is balanced by fresh, delicate acidity. Aromatic, refreshing, serious and traditionally extracted. A classy wine with genuine Provence character.
