  Dark purple fruit, opaque garnet. Sweet black fruit smoky aromas, pretty pot pourri, brambles, hedgerow fruit and floral notes. Quite closed black fruit on the nose. Quite extracted sweet black fruit on the palate, a little medicinal and lacking mid-palate definition. Dark, inky, incredibly moody and taciturn. Disciplined and tight, but with a generous side. Tannins are firm, chalky and extracted, but still very ripe, enveloped by ripe alcohol. An absolute bruiser of a wine.
