  Semi-opaque garnet. Soft red fruit and soft, almost perfumed sweet oak on the nose. Velvety, silky, almost sneakily invisible tannins, tight and textural, dominate the palate. There's good acidity, but the profile is currently very closed in on itself, like a coiled up snake that you're not sure you ought to disturb quite yet. Blackcurrants, brambles, hints of olive oil, garrigue and beeswax lead into a finish of vibrant, powerful acidity and more of those tight, textural tannins. Lip-smacking, conversation-starting, dark and mysterious.
