Château de Beaupré Collection du Château (Red) 2023 - RecommendedOpaque ruby. Ripe, solar, muscular and generous black fruit on the nose. Whisper of reduction. A hint of cedar and tobacco that evolve towards slightly floral, perfumed leafy garrigue and eucalyptus on the palate. Tannins are firm, unyielding and rather drying. There is a tiny hint of freshness in the background, but it is overall classic, chewy, slightly dried out and unapologetically old-fashioned on the palate. Firm tannins, taciturn - a wine for those looking for gravitas and seriousness over zippiness and approachability.
