  Semi-opaque garnet. Mature, evolved spice and woody leathery notes on the nose. Drying tannins - extracted but softened with age. Lots of black chocolate. Charming, old-school, rich and decadent but smooth and softened by a little age. Very charming. Intense, chewy and exceptionally chocolatey on the finish. Tannins were clearly extremely extracted when this was younger - almost Italian! Charming and classy, but definitely a wine for those looking for something bigger, complex and slightly matured.
