Pale salmon pink. Soft ripe red fruit on the nose. Quite joyous and cheerful on the palate with slightly jammy raspberry fruit, red berries and a hint of tannin. Quite grippy and full bodied with nice intensity, concentration and good ripeness. The beginnings of some complexity emerge as this opens up to honey, more jammy raspberries, a hint of dark hedgerow fruit and some garrigue. Acidity is there to balance but is not aggressively long. Pretty fruit, mineral and fresh, balanced and intriguing. Has a cool minerality that somehow seems at odds with its ripeness and Provence fullness, but I am finding that intriguing and empowering. Some saignée influence perhaps.
