Château La Coste Grand Vin Blanc (White) 2024 - OutstandingTasted by Elizabeth Gabay MW & Ben Bernheim

Pale lemon. Restrained aromas with hints of almonds, creamy softness, lacy white blossom, and orchard fruit. Ripe, soft, and almost luscious on the mid-palate, held in place with long, fine, scented lemon acidity and a slightly cooler-climate freshness. Pretty and intense fruit reveals barely ripe white peaches and hints of slightly leafy green apples. Delicate, silky yet firm, with some hidden saline structure in the background and a possible hint of oak. Charming, crisp, and very refined. If you're not convinced Provence can make serious-yet-modern Burgundian-inspired whites, look no further; this is internationally supple and opulent.
