Translucent ruby. Reductive and crunchy on the nose. On the palate, vibrant acidity, lots of red fruit and very, very youthful chalky tannins. Lots of crunchy red berries, but lacking ripeness and charm. It is a crunchy summer red that leans towards austerity and minerality rather than fruit and joy - definitely a summer red for someone looking for Provence rosé with a bit more tannin and depth of red fruit. Seriously opens up in the glass, with the reductive crunchy fruit softening into pomegranate molasses and a touch of spice - but still textural, gravelly and refreshing. Definitely a red for rosé lovers.
