  Opaque ruby. Spice and leather. Restrained and closed on the nose. A whisper of reduction. Opens up on the palate to black fruit, liquorice and firm, inky tannins. Slightly saline minerality. Linear, disciplined and utterly no-nonsense, but with a hint of ripe fruit hiding behind that rigour. Tannins are a little drying and inky, but it is quite charming and very elegant.
