Château Saint Pons Ventoux (White) 2023 - RecommendedRather restrained on the nose with some pretty white fruit and softly mellowed, honeyed fruit that opens out as the wine breathes to very aromatic honeysuckle stone fruit. Crunchy, fresh and zesty on the palate with refreshing, elegant green apples. Slightly phenolic on the mid-palate and a little hard towards the finish, supported by tight, dark mineral tannins running through the backbone. Vibrantly sharp acidity and long salinity make it refreshing, even if slightly underwhelmingly straightforward and simple.
